Short-Term Rental Guideline for the city and county of Broomfield, Colorado

If you are operating a short-term rental in the city and county of Broomfield, Colorado, each property owner must apply for a short-term rental license along with a sales tax license and lodging tax license. These rentals may only be run out of the property owner's principal residence. Regulations are always changing and this information is best found on the county website. The short-term rental license application will be reviewed by the city clerk and has a $100 fee. This license must be renewed every five years. You can contact the clerk via phone at 303.438.6332 or by email at cityclerk@broomfield.org.

For sales and lodging tax licenses, they will be reviewed by the Department of Finance Sales Tax Division. There is no associated fee and the application can be found here. You can contact the Sales Tax Division by phone at 303.464.5811 or by email at salestax@broomfield.org to inquire about receiving a sales or lodging tax license.
