Short Term Rental Regulations and Permitting for Clear Creek County

You must file for a Short Term Rental Permit if you plan to rent out your property for less than 30 days. A permit is required for each property utilizing short term renting. You can obtain your permit online here. On their site, they list that you can reach out to their team with any questions by emailing at support@lodgingrevs.com.

You will be required to obtain a Life Safety Inspection from the Department of Building Safety. This inspection will require you to meet minimum safety codes such as Smoke Dectectors located in every bedroom and hallway leading to bedrooms. If no bedroom is located on a story, then one needs to be placed in that area. Within 15 feet of any bedroom a carbon monoxide detector will need to be present. The condition of decks, windows, doors, and handrails will be checked as well. This inspection has a fee of $100 and will be charged per inspection.
